Indian dental student shot dead at gas station in US
An Indian-origin student from Hyderabad, who was pursuing higher studies in the US, was shot dead by unknown people in Denton, Texas.

The deceased student was identified as Chandrashekar Pole.
According to reports, the incident happened when he was working at a gas station on Friday, where he was employed part-time.
Pole had moved to the US in 2023 for higher studies after finishing his bachelor's in dental surgery back in Hyderabad, NDTV reported.

The doctor's family sought the government's help to bring back the body of the son.
Former Minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao visited the victim's family in India.
He wrote on X: "It is tragic that Chandra Shekhar Pole, a Dalit student from LB Nagar who had completed BDS and had gone to America (Dallas) for higher studies, was shot dead by assailants in the early hours of today."
"It is heartbreaking to see the anguish of the parents who are aware that their son, who they thought would be at a high level, is no more. My deepest condolences to their family members," the politician said.
