All 166 passengers and crew members on board were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
According to airport authorities, the aircraft landed safely and the situation was brought under control swiftly. “The incident is under investigation, and normal flight operations have resumed,” a police official confirmed.
Flight 6E 6961, operating on the Kolkata–Srinagar route, made a precautionary landing after a suspected technical issue was detected mid-air.
