Shots fired at Kapil Sharma's cafe in Canada for third time in 4 months, Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility
Shots were fired at comedian Kapil Sharma's Kap's Cafe in Canada's Surrey late Wednesday for the third time in the last four months, NDTV reported.

Gangster Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, who are part of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, have claimed responsibility for the attack.
In a video which is trending on social media, a man is seen firing at the cafe from inside a car.
Later in a post, Goldy and Kuldeep wrote as quoted by the broadcaster, "I, Kuldeep Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon take responsibility for the three shootings that took place (at Kaps Caffe). We have no enmity with the general public."
"Those with whom we have a dispute should stay away from us. Those who engage in illegal (illegible) work and do not pay people should also be prepared," they added.

Previous incidents
First firing – July 10, 2025
At least 25 shots were fired at Kap’s Cafe in Surrey late at night (around 1:50 a.m.). Staff were inside, but no one was injured.
Damage was done: bullet holes were visible in windows and walls.
The cafe later reopened after repairs.
Second firing – August 7-8, 2025
Kap’s Cafe was attacked again, early in the morning with multiple shots fired.
Again, nobody was hurt, but there was property damage.
Motives
Harjit Singh Laddi, an operative of Babbar Khalsa International (a banned group in India), had claimed responsibility for the July 10 shooting.
He said the attack was in response to past “humorous remarks” or mockery made about the dress or behaviour of Nihang Sikhs on The Kapil Sharma Show.
Laddi said attempts were made to contact Kapil Sharma or his manager and when those failed, the attack was carried out.
The second firing incident was claimed by Goldy Dhillon, who says he's associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The claim alleged that Kapil failed to respond to calls, thus “they had to take action.”
