India circumvent weakness to beat Sri Lanka in Super Over ahead of Pak final clash in Asia Cup
Dubai/IBNS: Despite Pathum Nissanka's brilliance with the bat, India managed to beat Sri Lanka in their last match before the Asia Cup 2025 final in the Super Over here on Friday.

Nissanka slammed 107 off only 58 balls (7 fours and 6 sixes) to put up 202-5 in 20 overs, equalising India's total (202-5).
Kusal Perera (58) and Dasun Shanaka (unbeaten 22) gave full support to Nissanka in the run-chase but India circumvented their sloppy fielding to win the Super Over.
In the Super Over, Sri Lanka scored 2-2 in 0.5 overs while India managed to score the required runs (3-0) in 0.1 overs to stay unbeaten in the tournament.
Earlier, India once again relied on in-form Abhishek Sharma (61 off 31 balls), Tilak Varma (49 not out off 34 balls) and wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson (39 off 23 balls) to post the total they had.
India, who defeated Pakistan two times in as many occasions in the ongoing Asia Cup, will again take on the arch-rival in the final scheduled for Sunday.
