Teen batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi slams record-breaking century in Australia
India's sensational teen batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scripted a record by hitting a 78-ball century on day two of the first Youth Test between India 19 and Australia U19 at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane, media reports said.

Vaibhav slammed 113 off 86 balls offering India U19 a solid start after Australia U19 scored 243 in the first innings on day one.
The southpaw slammed nine fours and eight sixes in his 113-run innings.
The 14-year-old scored the second-fastest century in the history of the Youth Test, featuring only behind his captain Ayush Mhatre, who took only 64 deliveries to touch 100.

However, Vaibhav's century is the fastest by any batter in a Youth Test on Australian soil.
He is also the youngest ever batter to slam a century in a Youth Test on Australian soil.
Earlier this year, Vaibhav made his IPL debut on 19 April 2025 for Rajasthan Royals vs Lucknow Super Giants at around 14 years and 23 days old.
Then in just his third match, scored a blistering 101 off 35 balls vs Gujarat Titans, becoming the youngest player ever to make an IPL century and the fastest IPL century by an Indian.
