Indian Army marks World Youth Skills Day in Agartala
In observance of World Youth Skills Day 2025, Agartala Military Station organized a compelling career awareness lecture at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Agartala, aimed at highlighting skill development pathways and career opportunities through service in the Indian Army.
The event aligned with this year’s global theme, “Skilling Teachers, Trainers and Youth for a Transformative Future”, and showcased how a career in the armed forces nurtures essential life skills such as leadership, discipline, technical proficiency, physical endurance and a deep sense of national service.
Over 100 senior students and members of the teaching staff participated in the programme, which offered a unique insight into how the Indian Army prepares individuals to lead purposeful and impactful lives. Attendees were introduced to the multifaceted training, personal development and character-building that are integral to a military career.
The session featured engaging multimedia presentations; first-hand accounts from serving Army personnel and an interactive discussion segment during which students enthusiastically shared their aspirations and posed thoughtful questions. The initiative not only broadened students’ understanding of career options but also encouraged them to explore opportunities that combine personal growth with national contribution.
The Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Agartala expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing this youth-oriented initiative, praising its alignment with World Youth Skills Day and commending the exposure it provided to students regarding meaningful and honourable career choices.
This event is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing outreach efforts to engage and empower the next generation. By guiding youth toward skill development and purposeful careers, the Army continues to strengthen national capacity and foster a sense of responsibility, ambition and pride among India’s future leaders.
