Unknown body recovered from MG Bazar pond in mysterious condition

A decomposed body of an unknown man with cut injuries in hands and other parts of the body was recovered in mysterious condition from Maharaj Ganj Bazar pond under East Agartala police station on Wednesday morning.
Giving details, OC of East Agartala police station , Subrata Debnath said that on Wednesday morning some local traders of MG Bazar noticed a floating body in the pond, which has been newly fenced, erected and decorated by Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC).
Immediately, police rushed to the spot with a forensic team, said Debnath, adding that preliminary investigation revealed, body of the middle aged man was decomposed and few cut injuries were also noticed in his hand and other parts of the body.
While, police after recovering the bdoy sent it to GB Hospital morgue for autopsy.
OC added that till evening, the identity of the deceased man is yet to be established and till findings to autopsy and forensic reports, they cannot say anything in details over the nature of the death.
