Sensex down by over 300 points
Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex dropped 324 points at 59,086.73 in opening trade as selling was seen in IT and Telecommunications stocks.
The Nifty too slipped 93 pts at 17,357.70.
The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 59,423.79 and 59,036.28 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,445.80 and 17,343.95 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap rose 0.01 pc and small Cap by 0.11 pc respectively.
In 30 scrips, 7 advanced while 23 declined.
The losers were TCS by 1.78 pc to Rs 3325.75, Axis Bank by 1.57 pc to Rs 851.70 and Infosys by 1.55 pc to Rs 1473.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 1 pc to Rs 1358.10, L& T by 0.52 pc to Rs 2126.05, ICICI Bank by 0.40 pc to Rs 859.45 and SBI by 0.34 pc to Rs 538.65.
