Hope, who grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, has been living in Bihar for around six months and regularly documents her daily life on Instagram through reels.

She married her husband, Abhishek Singh, in 2023 and visited India for the first time in 2025.

From Atlanta to a Bihar village

Hope has been sharing glimpses of her everyday routine, offering her followers a look at her life in a small Indian village.

Introducing one of her videos, she says, “The life of an American in a small village in India...” before taking viewers through her daily household activities.

According to her videos, Hope begins her day with a “cold refreshing shower”, followed by a cup of chai.

She is also seen handwashing clothes in a plastic bucket, washing dishes and preparing meals on a traditional stove.

Coconut water, books and chai

Hope's day also includes enjoying fresh coconut water and coconuts picked from the trees on their land.

“Nothing is better than fresh coconut,” she says in the video before taking a bite.

She also spends time reading books and preparing chai for guests when they visit.

From cleaning the house to taking clothes off the drying lines, Hope appears to have embraced several aspects of everyday rural household life, with support from her mother-in-law.

A simple Indian meal

Hope's food choices also reflect her adopted lifestyle.

In one video, her lunch consists of rice, dal and aloo gobi, a simple meal commonly eaten in Indian households.

She is also seen wearing a salwar kurta, a traditional outfit widely worn by women across India.

Towards the end of the video, Hope enjoys an egg roll while choosing to skip the meat eaten by her in-laws.

Her videos documenting the transition from life in Atlanta to everyday living in rural Bihar have attracted attention on social media, with viewers getting a glimpse into her unconventional cross-cultural journey.
