Amit Shah's fiery speech on Operation Sindoor in Parliament: Top quotes
New Delhi/IBNS: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday confirmed all three terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam terror attack were eliminated in Operation Mahadev.
Shah confirmed it participating in the debate on Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament.
Apart from Operation Mahadev update, the Home Minister also talked about how the Modi government responded to every terror attack and busted terror bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Here are the top quotes from a fiery speech of Amit Shah:
1. "I would like to share the details of Operation Mahadev, which took place yesterday. Three terrorists — Suleiman Shah, a top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, along with Jibran and Hamza Afghani — were successfully eliminated. Suleiman was an ‘A’ category terrorist, deeply involved in the Pahalgam and Gagangir terror attacks.
"Our intelligence agencies have substantial evidence of his role. Both Hamza Afghani and Jibran were also classified as ‘A’ grade terrorists, posing a serious threat to national security."
2. "In Operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu-Kashmir Police have neutralized three terrorists (Suleman, Afghan, and Jibran) involved in the Pahalgam terrorist attack."
3. "Opposition is asking why we didn’t go to war. But war has many consequences — and to understand this, let me give you some historical context.
4. In 1948, our forces had the upper hand in Kashmir. Sardar Patel kept insisting we press forward, but Jawaharlal Nehru unilaterally declared a ceasefire. Let me say this with full responsibility — Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is Nehru’s legacy. Not just that, even in the Indus Waters Treaty, Nehru handed over 80 percent of India’s river water to Pakistan."
5. "An attack took place in Uri, we conducted a surgical strike. An attack took place in Pulwama, so we conducted an air strike. And an attack took place in Pahalgam, so we went 100 km inside and eliminated 9 bases and over 100 terrorists."
6. "Yesterday, they (Congress) were asking us where the terrorists came from and who is responsible for this. Of course, it is our responsibility because we are in the government. I was deeply saddened that yesterday, the former Home Minister of this country, Mr. Chidambaram, raised the question of what evidence there is that these terrorists came from Pakistan. What are they trying to say? Whom are they trying to protect? What will you gain by protecting Pakistan?"
7. "I want to say through you to Chidambaram ji today that we have proof that all three were Pakistani. The Pakistani voter numbers of two out of the three are also available with us. There are also rifles, and the chocolate found with them is also made in Pakistan. They say they were not Pakistani, which means a former Home Minister of the country is giving a clean chit to Pakistan in front of the whole world."
