Andhra Pradesh: Three-year-old girl raped and murdered by relative in Tirupati
Tirupati/IBNS:A three-year-old girl was raped and murdered by her relative in the Tirupari district of Andhra Pradesh, media reports said.
The incident occurred at the Yanadi colony of AM Puram Village in Tirupati.
On Friday, the 22-year-old accused, who used to live in the same colony, lured the child with chocolate and took her to a field.
After raping and killing her, the accused buried the victim's body.
After the child did not return home, the parents filed the complaint with police claiming they had last seen their daughter with the 22-year-old.
The accused confessed the crime when police interrogated him.
Superintendent of Police L Subbarayudu said as quoted by NDTV, "He behaved suspiciously. When we questioned, he confessed to the crime. He said he had taken her to an open ground near the school and sexually assaulted her. He then killed and buried her body in the field."
Minor raped and murder in West Bengal
In another shocker from the state of West Bengal, a five-year-old girl was raped and murdered by a 40-year-old man in the Alipurduar district on Friday, media reports said.
Mona Roy, the accused, reportedly confessed to the villagers that he had raped and murdered the child.
Taking law into their own hands, the angry villagers beat the accused to death.
The girl went missing from a Kali Puja pandal on Friday afternoon.
Mona confessed he had lured the girl with jalebi and brought the child to his home, raped and murdered her and threw the body in the pond.
The angry villagers tied Mona to a tree and beat him to death.
