Police have arrested the bus driver and conductor in connection with the alleged incident and seized the vehicle. The bus has been sent for forensic examination.

According to India Today, the girl, a Class 11 student from Mainpuri district, had left home without informing her family and was travelling to Noida to visit her cousin.

Amid heavy rains, she reportedly got off the bus by mistake at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. She was then allegedly offered a lift by the driver and conductor of a passing empty bus.

The driver, identified as Kuldeep, and the conductor reportedly signalled to her to board the vehicle and told her it was headed towards Noida Sector 63.

According to the girl’s statement, shortly after the bus began moving, the conductor allegedly made obscene gestures towards her, India Today reported.

The girl has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the two men inside the moving bus and threatened with death if she resisted.

After being dropped on Ring Road, she approached the Kashmere Gate police and reported the alleged incident.

Police subsequently arrested the two suspects from a parking lot in north Delhi’s Timarpur area.

According to police cited by India Today, the sleeper bus had curtains that restricted visibility from outside, making it difficult for people outside the vehicle to see what was happening inside.

The investigation is underway, and the bus has been sent for forensic examination.
