Delhi CM Rekha Gupta's Z-Plus security upgraded after assault during public meet
New Delhi/IBNS: The Z-Plus security of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been upgraded after she was assaulted during a public meet at her residence in Civil Lines here on Wednesday, media reports said.

Gupta, who already has Z-Plus security, will be given added CRPF personnel amid the criticism of the law and order situation in the national capital, where the administration is run by the Union Home Ministry, which is helmed by Amit Shah.
Apart from that, paramilitary personnel have been deployed outside the CM's residence.
A curb on Gupta's Jan Sunwai event, where she was assaulted by a middle-aged man, has also been placed.
The accused has been identified as 42-year-old Rajesh Sakriya, who originally hails from the Rajkot city of Gujarat.
He attacked the Chief Minister while meeting her in the guise of a petitioner. He slapped and pushed her and then pulled her hair before being overpowered by her security men.
The man's exact motives are not yet known and a case of attempt to murder has been filed.
The Chief Minister, who, a minister said, had sustained injuries on her hands and head, responded to the matter early Wednesday evening.
"The attack on me during this morning's public hearing was not just an attack on me, but a cowardly attempt on our resolve to serve Delhi and work for the welfare of the people.
"Naturally, I was in shock after this attack, but I am feeling better now. I request all my well-wishers to please not bother to meet me. I will be seen working among you very soon. Such attacks can never break my spirit and resolve to serve the public," she wrote on X in her first reaction after the attack.
"Now I will be among you with more energy and dedication than ever before. Jan Sunwai and resolving public problems will continue with the same seriousness and commitment as before. Your trust and support is my biggest strength," she said.

"Public hearings and the resolution of people's problems will continue with the same seriousness and commitment as before. Your trust and support are my greatest strength," she said.
The doctors have attended to the Chief Minister and she is now doing well.
The attacker was arrested immediately after the incident.
