Distance is no barrier when it comes to cultural connect, says Modi after meeting India diaspora members in Argentina
Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday met the diaspora members in Argentina after landing in the country and said he felt honoured by the 'gracious' welcome he received from he community members in Buenos Aires.
Writing on X, Modi said: "Distance is no barrier when it comes to cultural connect!"
"Honoured by the gracious welcome from the Indian community in Buenos Aires. It is truly moving to see how, thousands of kilometres away from home, the spirit of India shines brightly through our Indian community," he said.

During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Milei to review ongoing cooperation and discuss ways to further enhance India-Argentina partnership in key areas including defence, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade and investment, and people-to-people ties, the Ministry of External Affairs earlier said.
The bilateral visit of Prime Minister will further deepen the multifaceted Strategic Partnership between India and Argentina.
Modi Honoured in Trinidad And Tobago
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Christine Carla Kangaloo, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and was conferred with the country's highest civilian honour.
"Our discussions covered ways to enhance the bond between India and Trinidad & Tobago, including better economic and cultural linkages," Modi stated.
In a post on X, he said: "Delighted to meet President Christine Carla Kangaloo. Our discussions covered ways to enhance the bond between India and Trinidad & Tobago, including better economic and cultural linkages."
On being conferred with the country's the highest civilian honour, PM Modi said recognition will strengthen our resolve to deepen ties with Trinidad & Tobago.
Earlier in the day, Modi addressed the Joint Assembly of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago. He is the first Prime Minister from India to address the T&T Parliament, and the occasion marked a milestone in India-Trinidad and Tobago bilateral relations.
Addressing the House, PM Modi conveyed special greetings to the Members from the largest democracy in the world. He expressed gratitude to the people of T&T for bestowing on him their highest national honour.
