Speaking to NDTV at an event in New Delhi, Errol Musk advised his son to "Get some rest".
"Keep it up if you can. I do say to him, when I speak to him, 'try and take a break'," he said.
"He (Elon) is 53. People at 53 say, 'Oh, we are too old'. But he is like someone in his early 30s," Errol Musk added.
He is a part of the global advisory board of homegrown Servotech Renewable Power System Limited, an NSE-listed company, that specialises in developing technology-driven EV charging solutions.

During his stay in India, he is providing strategic advisory support to the solar and EV charger manufacturing team at Haryana-based Servotech, aimed at “forging partnerships for a green tomorrow”, media reports said.
As part of his engagement, the company earlier said Errol Musk will "participate in a tour of Servotech's manufacturing facilities in India. He will engage with key government and investor groups through curated roundtable sessions".
Errol Musk is also meeting policymakers, business leaders, investors and senior bureaucrats from different ministries.
He is scheduled to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, media reports said.
