Four killed, nine injured as BEST bus reverses into a crowd in Mumbai
At least four people were killed, and nine others were injured after a BEST bus struck pedestrians while reversing in Mumbai’s Bhandup area on Thursday night, media reports said.
The injured have been admitted to local hospitals for treatment.

BEST, short for Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport, operates the country’s largest public bus fleet.
According to Mumbai Police, the bus lost control before hitting the pedestrians. The exact reason for the loss of control is not yet known.
A large police presence was deployed immediately at the scene to manage the situation and regulate traffic.
Senior officials and emergency response teams rushed to assist the victims.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the sequence of events leading to the accident, including whether mechanical failure or other factors were involved.
