Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma meets Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, congratulates her over national election victory
Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma on Monday met Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina over her party's landslide victory in the national polls for the fourth consecutive term.
This will be her overall fifth term.
During his call on at Ganabhaban in the capital, the envoy on behalf of the government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed warm greetings and congratulations on her election victory, reported Dhaka Tribune.
The Indian envoy greeted the Bangladeshi leader with a flower bouquet.
The envoy expressed hope that during the new term of her government, there will be even stronger momentum and growth in the bilateral partnership in support of each other’s national development, the Bangladeshi newspaper reported.
