Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his wife, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav were among those present at the high-profile gathering at 6 Janpath.

The event offered a rare sight of political rivals sharing the same stage and exchanging pleasantries away from the intense political battles of Parliament.

Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi seen together

Amit Shah was seen waiting to take his turn to greet the newlyweds, while Rahul Gandhi stood a few feet away.

Sule then gestured to the Home Minister to proceed towards the stage. Shah, with his hands folded in a namaste, greeted the couple, who touched his feet. He presented them with a bouquet and posed for photographs.

Soon after, Rahul Gandhi arrived on stage with Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi.

Supriya Sule brings Gandhis to centre stage

Sonia Gandhi initially moved towards the end of the stage while greeting the couple. Sule then guided her back towards the centre and positioned her alongside the newlyweds.

She also brought Rahul Gandhi next to the couple before moving towards the end of the line.

The couple was then surrounded by members of the Gandhi family, with Sonia Gandhi standing between them and Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi on either side.

PM Modi meets Sharad Pawar

Prime Minister Modi also met Sharad Pawar and his wife at the reception before joining them on stage to greet the newlyweds.

Congress MP Deepender Hooda and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar were also seen exchanging greetings and sharing a light moment.

Who attended the reception?

The reception was attended by several Union ministers and political leaders, including Hardeep Singh Puri, Chirag Paswan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Renuka Chowdhury, Pravesh Verma, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and Ramdas Athawale.

Former Union minister Smriti Irani, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, and athlete and Indian Olympic Association president PT Usha were also among the guests.

Several leaders were seen sharing tables and engaging in informal conversations during the evening.

Sonia Gandhi was also seen walking up to Akhilesh Yadav, who was seated at a table, and exchanging pleasantries with the Samajwadi Party chief.

Grand reception for Revati Sule

The reception celebrated the marriage of Revati Sule and Nagpur-based industrialist Sarang Lakhani. The couple got married in Mumbai in June, with the Delhi gathering serving as a grand reception.

The star-studded event brought together leaders from rival political factions, offering a glimpse of political opponents putting aside their differences to celebrate a family occasion.
