Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Bengaluru's long-awaited Yellow Line Metro and took a ride as well.

Following the formal flag-off, PM Modi took a ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to the Electronic City metro station, during which he interacted with students.

The Yellow Line is being hailed as a “game-changer” for Bengaluru’s southern stretch, particularly for areas where rapid residential and industrial growth has long outpaced public transport capacity.
It will link residential hubs, tech parks, and manufacturing zones, potentially easing notorious congestion at choke points like Silk Board Junction.
After Modi's arrival in Bengaluru, a large number of people had gathered on both sides of the road to greet the Prime Minister with "Modi, Modi" slogans and showered petals braving rain as his convoy made its way towards the Ragigudda station from KSR Bengaluru (city) railway station.
PM Modi too responded by waving at them from inside his car.
He also flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train between KSR Bengaluru and Belagavi.
