Chennai/UNI: Senior BJP leader and two time former Lok Sabha member C.P. Radhakrishnan was appointed the new Governor of Jharkhand,

Several leaders, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin extended congratulated him on the appointment.
Radhakrishnan was appointed as Jharkhand Governot in place of Ramesh Bias, who was appointed the Maharashtra Governor.
Radhakrishnan had served as the former Tamil Nadu Unit President of the BJP and was twice elected to the Lok Sabha in the 1998 and 1999 polls.
Talking to reporters in Tiruppur after the Rashtrapathi Bhavan announced his appointment, Radhakrishnan said it was not a honour for him but a honour for the Tamil Nadu State.
Thanking President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for appointing him as the Jharkhand Governor, he said he would act as a bridge between the Central and the State governments.
He said he would also strive hard for the growth and development of the Jharkhand State.
Meanwhile, leaders of various political parties, including Union Minister L.Murugan greeted Mr Radhakrishnan.
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, in a tweet, said, "My hearty congratulations to friend Radhakrishnan on his appointment as the Governor of Jharkhand. I wish that he would bring honour to Tamil Naduby discharging his duties as per the Constitutiion," he added.
Greeting Radhakrishnan, Tamil Nadu BJP Unit President K Annamalai, in a tweet, wrote: "Best wishes & congratulations to former @BJP4TamilNadu state president and former MP Shri @CPRBJP anna who is appointed as Governor of Jharkhand!
"A committed foot soldier of @BJP4India who wore his ideology on his sleeves had left a distinct imprint in all his responsibilities," he said.
Former Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers--AIADMK Interim General Secretary Edappadi K.Palaniswami and deposed AIADMK leader O.Panneerselvam also greeted Mr Radhkrishnan.
Expelled AIADMK Leader V.K.Sasikala also extended her greetings to Radhakrishnan, who was the third BJP leader in the recent past to be appointed as Governors after Ms Tamizhisai Soundarajan and L.Ganesan.
While Ms Tamizhisai was appointed as Telangana Governor and Lt.Governor of Union Territory of Puducherry, Mr Ganesan, who was made the Governor of Manipur rpt Manipur, was now been posted as Nagaland Governor.
