From siblings to lovers! GoT co-stars Sophie Turner, Kit Harington turn awkward during kissing scene in The Dreadful
Moving on from their beloved sibling dynamic in Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington reunite onscreen as a romantic couple in the horror film Dreadful, which released on February 20.
Best known for their chemistry as on-screen siblings, the duo had to embrace an entirely new equation — one that demanded intimate moments, including kisses and love scenes.
A hilarious behind-the-scenes moment from the film has now gone viral. During the shooting of a kissing scene, Turner and Harington delivered a passionate take while cameras rolled.
However, the instant the director called “cut,” the magic appeared to vanish as the two quickly pulled away, laughing awkwardly.
In the BTS clip, both actors seem visibly amused — almost uncomfortable — with Turner even jokingly reacting as if she might throw up, highlighting the playful awkwardness of shifting from sibling roles to lovers.

Filmmaker Natasha Kermani, speaking to Entertainment Tonight, said: “In this scene, Sophie and Kit had a big moment together that ended in a kiss — which they both joked they were totally dreading. When cameras rolled? Absolute pros. They nailed it and sold the magic.”
She added, “The second I yelled ‘cut’… poof, magic gone.”
Set against a dark, medieval backdrop, Dreadful explores themes of paranoia, grief and survival, relying more on psychological tension and mood than jump scares.
With haunting visuals and an intense, character-driven narrative, the film aims to deliver a chilling and atmospheric horror experience.
