War 2 gets U/A 16+ rating after makers trim Kiara Advani's bikini scene, mute 'inappropriate references' and alter 'obscene line'
Mumbai/IBNS: Yash Raj Films' upcoming release War 2 has received U/A 16+ rating after several scenes either trimmed or muted or altered as per the directives of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The film features Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the lead.
As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, CBFC asked the makers to mute 'inappropriate references' in six places of the film, to delete a two-second 'obscene gesture' and alter an 'obscene dialogue' with an approved sentence.
The makers have been asked to trim sensual images by nine seconds, which are reportedly from the 'Aavan Jaavan' song that features Hrithik and Kiara.
The trimmed sensual images could be from Kiara's bikini sequence in the romance song.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film promises power-packed action sequences as shown in the trailer.
The 2:35-minute power-packed trailer shows a major faceoff between Hrithik and NTR in a bloody showdown.
War 2, which is produced by Aditya Chopra, releases on August 14 in theatres worldwide in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
