Ramita clinching bronze adds colour to her fantastic journey in the sport and she has been a great ambassador for youngsters who are wanting to take up this sport. She had clinched a gold at the World Championships, routing a Chinese shooter in a high-pressure combat.

She was also part of the Indian team that won a silver medal in the women’s 10m air rifle team event.

It is India's first medal of Hangzhou 2023. The gold medal was bagged by China.

The scores also counted as a part of the women's 10m air rifle women's individual event. Ramita and Mehuli, who finished second and fifth, respectively, also made it to the individual event final.

Ashi Chouksey, meanwhile, finished 29th in the individual standings.
