Chennai Test: India bowl out Bangladesh for 149 in first innings, Bumrah picks 4 wickets

Chennai/IBNS: The Indian bowlers, spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, bowled out Bangladesh for just 149 in the first innings of the inaugural Test in Chennai on Friday.


Allrounder Shakib Al Hasan (32) was the top scorer for the visitors.

Apart from Bumrah who scalped four wickets for 50 runs, Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj shared two wickets each.

Earlier in the day, India were bowled out for 376 in the first innings.

Ravindra Jadeja missed his century as he was dismissed for 86 from 124 balls. Ravichandran Ashwin was the top scorer for India with 113 from 133 balls.

Hasan Mahmud picked five wickets conceding 83 runs for Bangladesh.
