A kingpin of AC copper wire theft gang arrested by Agartala city police
Finally after searching for many days, one infamous thief, involved with stolen incidents of copper wire from multiple Air-Conditioned (AC) machines from different parts of Agartala city was arrested by the West Agartala police station on Monday.
Giving details, OC of West Agartala police station Rana Chatterjee said that a gang of thieves were involved in the theft of copper wire from AC machines in and around the city and police, based on such complaints of theft, launched an investigation.
Finally, on Monday the police personnel from Battala Town Outpost (TOP) managed to arrest a kingpin of copper wire thieves’ gang, identified as Nur Islam Hussain of Birganj area of Gomati district.
Chatterjee said that police also recovered bundles of AC copper wire under his possession and they started an investigation to find out other members of the gang.
He said that on Monday the arrested thief was produced before a local court with police remand appeal for interrogation to get details of their stolen network.
