A wanted human trafficker involved with many cases of infiltration arrested

A wanted human trafficker involved in multiple cases of human trafficking of Bangladesh nationals and  Rohingyas was arrested by the Government Railway Police (GRP) of Agartala Railway station on Thursday.

Giving details, OC of GRP, Agartala Railway station, Tapash Das said that based on secret information, a joint contingent of GRP, BSF and police personnel from Sonamura police station raided at bordering Gilamura village of Motinagar under Sepahijala district  in the wee hours of Thursday and managed to arrested wanted criminal Nazmul Hussain (20) from his house.

Arrested trafficker is believed to be actively involved in facilitating illegal migration and human trafficking through Tripura with the active assistance of tout modules spread across the Indo-Bangladesh border.

OC Tapash Das said that the arrested trafficker was involved in a number of trafficking cases, who was actively facilitated many Bangladeshi and Rohingyas to enter into Indian territory illegally and trespass them in different parts of the country. He said that arrested trafficker will be produced before a local court with police remand appeals for interrogation to get the details of their trafficking network and hoped that police will manage to arrest other touts and traffickers involved with infiltration of Bangladesh nationals and Rohingyas.
