Agartala city police arrested 3 thieves with stolen items
The Agartala city police on Sunday managed to arrest three thieves involved in multiple stolen cases and looting of different household items from Shyamali Bazar quarters complex of the city and recovered stolen items worth of Rs. 3 lakh under their possessions.
Giving details, OC of New Capital City (NCC) police station, Prajit Malakar said that they have received a specific complaint of a stolen incident at the quarters of Shyamali Bazar and based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation.
Based on circumstantial evidence, they managed to arrest 3 thieves, identified as Akash Ravi Das, Dipankar Banik and Sudip Chakraborty from different parts of the city. Police have also recovered different household stolen items worth Rs. 3 lakh under their possessions. All arrested thieves were produced before a local court with police remand appeals on Sunday.
