Agartala Postal Division to host ‘SundayOnCycle’ rally on August 3rd
In a spirited effort to promote fitness and encourage daily physical activity, the Agartala Postal Division, in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Agartala Cycloholics Foundation, is organizing the ‘SundayOnCycle’ rally on 3rd August 2025 under the Fit India Mission.
The rally will commence at 6:00 AM from the Agartala Head Post Office and will cover key locations including Dhaleswar Sub Post Office, Durjayanagar Branch Post Office, and Agartala Aerodrome Sub Post Office before concluding at the Head Post Office.
The event aims to celebrate the vital role of postmen in connecting communities while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Around 50–55 participants from the Agartala Cycloholics Foundation are expected to join the rally, along with postal staff and citizens from across the city.
Speaking about the initiative, the Superintendent of Post Offices, Agartala Postal Division, Mr. Manik Lal Das, said, “This rally will be a tribute to the invaluable contribution of postmen and will inspire people to embrace fitness as a way of life. We are confident that the event will create a positive impact on society.”
The rally, with its message of unity and wellness, is set to draw widespread participation and is expected to inspire citizens to adopt cycling as a sustainable mode of transport.
