Agartala Public School hosts "Subeccha Binimoy Anusthan"

The Agartala Public School, an English Medium institution, organized a grand event titled "Subeccha Binimoy Anusthan" within the school premises at Baldakhal, Chandrapur. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of notable individuals, including Old Agartala RD Block chairman Biswajit Shil, renowned social worker Amit Nandi, Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad member Biswajit Das, retired teacher Tapas Chakraborty, and the school's secretary Arun Nath.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by the students of Agartala Public School, led by Music teacher Monalisa Banik. The highlight of the occasion was the insightful speech delivered by retired teacher Tapas Chakraborty, emphasizing the school's primary objectives for the students and the broader community.

Addressing the gathering, social worker Amit Nandi expressed his delight at the school's initiative in hosting such a splendid event after the celebration of "Bijoya Dashami" and ahead of the upcoming "Deepawali" festival. He commended the school for its relentless efforts in overcoming numerous challenges on its journey from nursery to class VIII. Nandi also expressed his optimism for the school's future growth and indicated that MLA Ratan Chakraborty would extend support to the school when needed. "If necessary, they will extend cooperation to the school," Nandi added.

In his remarks, Old Agartala RD Block chairman, Biswajit Shil, acknowledged the significant educational reforms that have taken place following the BJP-led government's formation. Shil cited an instance wherein the Pallimangal HS School in the Khayerpur assembly constituency appeared well-maintained from the outside but revealed a dismal reality upon inspection. This led to the discovery of dilapidated infrastructures in various other schools, including a 73-year-old institution lacking basic amenities like electricity, furniture, and drinking water. Shil highlighted the government's commitment to invest Rs 8.53 crore for renovations and essential infrastructure procurement, emphasizing the government's dedication to the education sector's improvement.

Praising the pivotal role of Agartala Public School in shaping students' futures, Shil stressed the importance of dedicated efforts from teachers and students to establish a reputable name for the school. He mentioned that the school can play a crucial role in making 'Shrestha Khayerpur.'

Arun Nath, the secretary of Agartala Public School and a veteran journalist, discussed the school's aspiration to become a CBSE-affiliated institution. He explained that due to a shortage of land, the school had not been able to apply for affiliation yet, as they currently have less land than the required 2.5 'Kaanis.' Nath expressed hope that the remaining land would be acquired soon to proceed with the affiliation process.

Nath also addressed the issue of funds, stating that the Block chairman claimed MLA Ratan Chakraborty had sanctioned Rs 3.5 lakh for Agartala Public School from his fund, but the school had not received any funds from the MLA. He emphasized the school's need for financial support and urged the present personalities to extend their cooperation and support for the school's development and students' welfare. Nath concluded by expressing their goal to make Jirania sub-division the best in the state, aiming to nurture talented individuals from their school.
