Army commemorates World Blood Donor Day with multiple blood donation camps

On World Blood Donor Day, the Indian Army showcased its commitment to community welfare and healthcare by organizing multiple blood donation camps across various locations of Northeastern states. These camps held in Manipur, Assam and Tripura, highlights the Indian Army's dedication to fostering strong ties with local communities and supporting the crucial cause of voluntary blood donation.

In Agartala, the Army conducted another successful blood donation camp at the Agartala Military Station under the theme "Every Drop of Blood Contributes to Life." The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Army personnel, defence employees and volunteers from the nearby areas. More than 100 volunteers donated blood, contributing to the well-being of society. The camp included thorough health screenings for donors and post-donation care, adhering to safety protocols.

An Indian Army’s press statement stated that these events underscored the Indian Army’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. By organizing these blood donation camps, the Army not only contributed to the healthcare needs of the nation but also reinforced the sense of unity and goodwill among the local populations. The Indian Army remains dedicated to continuing such initiatives, further strengthening the bond between the Army and the public and ensuring a stable supply of safe blood for patients in need across the nation.
