Assam Rifles organizes India-Bangladesh conclave-2024 at Agartala
Assam Rifles organized the India-Bangladesh Conclave in Agartala, Tripura on 30 November 2024. The conclave was organized with an aim to reassess the changed geo-political dynamics of the neighbouring country and its impact on India.
Maj Gen Suresh Bhambhu, Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) chaired the conclave. Dr Uttam K Sinha, Sr Fellow & Coordinator at MP-IDSA , Dr Ashok Behuria, Sr Fellow & Coordinator, MP-IDSA and Prof Ashish Nath of Tripura University delivered insightful lectures on India-Bangladesh relations from economic and diplomatic perspective.
In the wake of recent developments in Bangladesh, a need was felt to reanalyse the implications of such developments on India in general and Tripura in particular. The speakers from the reputed think-tank, Manohar Parikar-Institute of Defence and Analyses and Tripura University, laid emphasis on comprehending the bigger picture in view of historical ties and future prospects with Bangladesh. Officers from Indian Army and BSF also participated in the event.
