BJP’s organizational meet on Oct 26, aims for 12 lakh membership in Tripura, Rajib Bhattacharjee

Amidst ongoing membership of drive, the organizational meeting of Tripura unit of BJP will be held on October 26 (Saturday) and state Prabhari Dr. Rajdeep Roy, Northeast Coordinator Sambit Patra and Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will chair the organisational meeting to discuss strengthening the organization in the coming days.

The state president of Tripura unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharya addressing a press conference at party headquarters on Friday afternoon in Agartala said that various political strategies of the ruling party for the future will be discussed in this meeting.

Rajib Bhattacharjee further said that the Sadasyata Abhiyan of BJP which started in September has received great response from the common people of the state. A total of 7 lakh 44 thousand people have become the members of BJP online while a total of almost 2 lakh people have accepted the membership of BJP offline. The aim of BJP was 12 lakh and they are slowly moving towards that target and they were hopeful to achieve that number in the coming days as the membership process will continue.

He said that the membership drive, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 2 and the process is ongoing, and they will meet their target in the coming days.

He added  that CM Dr Saha and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari held a meeting focused on developing the national highway and announced a package of Rs 2800 crore.

Expressing his gratitude to the Union government and Chief Minister Dr Saha, Bhattacharjee said that the seat capacity of the Dental College has also increased, which is a significant achievement for the state. Additionally, following Durga Puja, the state government provided free rations through ration shops. Several developmental steps have also been taken in the health sector. The Chief Minister has announced a scheme for meritorious students named CM-SATH and he thanked all cabinet ministers and the Chief Minister for these initiatives.

Moreover, he also criticized opposition parties, claiming they have been working to tarnish the image of the BJP and the government.

The Leader of Opposition, Jitendra Chaudhury, criticized DGP Amitabh Ranjan, but the language he used was really unacceptable for a leader of his stature. No one will tolerate it. During CPI (M) rule, many were killed, including MLAs and SDMs and asked the opposition leader how many of them have received justice, said Bhattacharjee and added that the Chief Minister is working with zero tolerance towards mafias and drug dealers and no one will be spared.
