Border Guards detained 6 more Bangladeshi, foiled attempts of smuggling
Border Security Force (BSF) troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Murtichera under Kailashahar police station of Unakoti district apprehended three more Bangladesh nationals while they were trying to exfitrate to Bangladesh on Monday afternoon. Apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are resident of Kamalbazar area of Sylhet division.
BSF through a press statement said that in another operation BSF troops apprehended 3 Bangladeshi nationals including one male, one female and a child from North Tripura.
Adopting non lethal strategy BSF troops successfully foiled several attempts of smuggling and seized contraband worth Rs 10 lakh. In one such operation on Bangladeshi smuggler reportedly sustained pallet injury by BSF firing from non- lethal weapon.
BSF is maintaining a high level of alertness on the international border to prevent infiltration and trans border crime.
