BSF seized 187 second hand mobiles, worth ₹ 42 lakh from Sonamura border
A special ambush party of Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday morning observed suspicious movement of five to six miscreants on both sides of international barbed wire fencing in Matinagar area under Sonamura subdivision of Sepahijala district , trying to carry out smuggling activities forcefully.
On being challenged by BSF, miscreants fled away towards their respective sides. Further when the area was thoroughly searched BSF recovered 187 used mobile phones of various make worth Rs 42,10,400/-.
Seized mobile phones have been handed over to Customs Office of Sonamura for further necessary action.
