Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Thursday said that a developed Tripura will be built through the construction of modern cities and modern villages, and the digital system will be further strengthened to provide various government services to the people of the state more quickly.

Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating various people-oriented projects of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on Thursday.

He said that digital services will be developed in all municipal areas of the state along with Agartala Municipal Corporation. The main goal of the state government is to work for the welfare of the people of the state.

“We need goodwill for work. Because of this goodwill of the present government, new development projects are being implemented in every part of the state, including Agartala city. Government employees, officials, and public representatives will have to work together to implement every development project under the Agartala Smart City Mission and other development projects of the state in a transparent and timely manner,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi always believes in work.

“The state government also wants to move in that direction through work. To live a good life, one needs an affordable lifestyle. That is why the government wants to move forward by implementing more and more development projects to make people's lives better and more affordable. Instead of being complacent, everyone should work together with the aim of implementing development projects in a beautiful and transparent manner. By electing public representatives, the public has given them the responsibility of carrying out public service work. They have to earn trust and confidence by working for the welfare of the people,” said Dr Saha.

He also said that Agartala city is developing as a promising modern city in the northeastern region. The state government is working to protect its cultural and historical heritage while developing Agartala city as a modern city. The success of the work can be realised only when the common citizen appreciates the work in their own words after experiencing comfort in daily life.

The Chief Minister called on everyone, including every club and social organisation, to come forward with awareness to keep the environment of Agartala city clean, healthy, and completely drug-free.

At the programme, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Sabuj Sena, Chandinamura Waste Transfer Centre, Amar Agartala App, and 51 mini vehicle projects by pressing buttons.
