CM to inaugurate 35th Industries and Commerce fair on Jan 29th

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will inaugurate the 35th Industries and Commerce fair on January 29th at Hapania International fair ground in Agartala and will continue up to February 12 next.

Addressing a press conference Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma along with Secretary of the department Kiran Gitte, chairman of Tripura Industrial development Corporation Limited (TIDCL), Nabadal Banik said that this year altogether 515 stalls will be set up in the fair complex with priority to local businessmen in 49,455 square feet areas.

She said that in the year fair, a total of  Rs. 6.28 crore business recorded and department is hoping that this year, the business will much more higher and like last year, this year too new modern technologies, start Up, Drone technology, electric cars and automatic machines will be showcased in the fair. Apart from government departments, PSUs, private organizations, local entrepreneurs and businessmen with national and international companies will participate in the fair.

Giving details of the fair, Ms Chakma  said a total of 515 stalls will be distributed into the entire complex of fair and exhibition ground for government and government undertaking, stalls for local traders, stalls for SSI, MSME and PMEGP, stalls for business units of other states and countries  with stalls for automobile industries will also be set up in the fair complex.

From outside of the state, the other states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Kashmir, Assam, West Bengal will participate in the fair with products like jewellery, cotton fabrics, handlooms, herbal products, home appliances, transformers, silk and cotton boutiques, said Jenner.

She added that different state government departments and PSUs along with central government organizations like NEDFi, BSNL, Rubber Board and ONGC will also participate in the fair.

Ms Chakma also said that different cultural programmes would be performed by several artists during every evening of fair days.
