CPI (M) demands complete address of JBRT successful candidates

After publication of the result of the JRBT (Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura) examination for recruitment to Group “ C “ (Non-Gazetted  ) posts in various departments of Tripura government on Wednesday, the opposition CPI(M) and a group of unsuccessful candidates raised questions over merit list and non-fulfillment  other vacant posts despite availability of suitable candidates.

Addressing a press conference at CPI(M) headquarters at Agartala on Saturday evening, veteran party leader Narayan Kar accompanied by former ministers Manik Dey and Naresh Jamatia  said that JRBT published the advertisement for online applications on November 27, 2020 to fill up group-C vacancy posts of 1500 and again on March 12, 2021 advertise for 910 more posts.

After three years of long waiting and many agitation by aspirants, on September 13, 2023 last they released results  for only 1980 candidates, whereas interview has taken for 2410 posts, said Kar and added that in the final merit list, the JRBT only mentioned the names of eligible candidates by hidden their residential addresses.

CPI (M) expressing their doubts over selection of many eligible candidates from other parts of the country by depriving domiciles of Tripura alleged that the government intentionally deprived the state’s domiciles despite thousands of eligible and qualified candidates for different categories of Group-C posts.

CPI (M) leaders demanded that JBRT to maintain the transparency in the selection process should release complete postal addresses of all successful candidates.

Speaking in the press meet, former minister Manik Dey said that the JRBT should also give clarification why they are not filling up other vacant posts despite having a number of qualified candidates in Tripura and why not they maintain the reservation for ST, SC and others.

Dey also asked that the earlier state government had committed to rehabilitate retrenched 10, 323 teachers in different government recruitment and want to know how many of them get jobs in the total release of 1980 posts.

While, staging a demonstration in front of JRBT office in Agartala, a group of unsuccessful candidate claimed that despite they have required qualification for the posts of ‘pump operators’ and having Industrial Training Institute (ITI) passed certificates, the JBRT has release the results for only few candidates among 445 posts. They alleged that JRBT having qualified candidates from Tripura has remained vacant 383 posts of ‘junior operators’ and demanded released of merit list and should immediately fill up all vacant posts from qualified candidates having domiciles of Tripura.
