Ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja and Kali Puja (Diwali) festivities, traders at Agartala’s Hawkers Corner Market have announced a special shopping offer for customers, including a bumper lottery with 10 special prizes and 30 consolation prizes.

Under the initiative of the Tripura Hawkers’ Union and Hawkers Corner, customers purchasing goods worth Rs 1,000 at the market will receive one lottery coupon. The coupon distribution will continue until November 14, following which winners will be selected through a lottery.

Among the 10 special prizes are scooty, air conditioner, LED television, washing machine and microwave oven, along with several other attractive gifts.

The market has been stocked with a wide range of products under one roof, including garments, sarees, textiles, fashion accessories, perfumes and other items. According to the traders, new collections have been brought in from different parts of the country keeping the preferences of customers in Tripura in mind.

The special offer will remain in force from Durga Puja to Kali Puja, with traders expecting increased customer footfall during the festive season.

According to the Hawkers Corner Market Traders’ Committee, more than 300 traders are currently operating in the market. Traders have been collecting new products and festive collections from different parts of the country over the past month in preparation for Durga Puja, Bhai Phonta and Diwali.

To facilitate festive shopping, the market will also remain open every Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm, starting from the coming Sunday until Bhai Phonta.

Speaking about the initiative, Hawkers’ Union president Sujit Roy said the special offer and bumper lottery had been arranged keeping customers in mind. He invited people from across the state to visit Hawkers Corner Market , explore the latest collections and take advantage of the special discounts and festive offers.

Hawkers’ Union secretary Kajal Chandra Lodh, treasurer Ashish Dutta, union leader Ashok Saha and other members of the traders’ community were also present.
