Holy Cross College conducts medical camp at Sipai Para Village
Holy Cross College, Agartala organized a day-long medical camp on Friday at Sipai Para Village under Lefunga R.D. Block in West Tripura district. The initiative was jointly conducted by the NSS Unit, IQAC, Department of Human Physiology, and the Outreach Club of the college, in collaboration with Millennium Steps, Mohanpur.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Sharmistha Chakraborty, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator. The programme began with a prayer song, followed by an inaugural address by Fr. Davis Konorun CSC, Principal of Holy Cross College, who emphasized the significance of community healthcare. Mrs. Sukhini Debbarma, Chairperson of Sipai Para Village, also addressed the gathering with an encouraging speech.
Students of Holy Cross College presented an engaging cultural programme for the villagers. The camp offered general health check-ups, specialist consultations by attending doctors, a health awareness session, and the distribution of free prescribed medicines.
With active participation from villagers, volunteers, and NSS members, the camp successfully promoted health awareness while strengthening Holy Cross College’s ongoing rural outreach initiatives.
