Housewife commits suicide leaving her child in sleep
In a tragic incident, disputing petty family issues with her husband, a housewife and mother of a children committed suicide by hanging herself at Murabari village under Bishalgarh police station of Sepahijala district on Tuesday morning.
Giving details, OC of Bishalgarh Women police station, Shieuli Das said that on Tuesday morning they received information about the hanging of a housewife, identified as Purnima Das, wife of one Biplab Chowdhury and they rushed to the spt.
She said that the forensic team of police verifying the incident spot and collection of all circumstantial evidence, police shifted the body to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Local villagers’ sources said that on Monday night, Biplab Chowdhury returned back to his house, had engaged in a squabble with his wife, and then left the house. After Biplab Chowdhury left his house, his wife Purnima Das, after the sleep of her child, locked the door of the house.
When, on Tuesday morning, inmates of the house knocked on the door, they found Purnima hanging from the ceiling of the room with her ‘shree’.
While, police said that they after registering an unnatural death (UD) case started investigation to unearth the mystery of her suicide.
