ICARIA begins with immense enthusiasm at ICFAI University
The tech-cultural festival ICARIA of the ICFAI University, Tripura commenced with great enthusiasm and pride on the evening of February 4th , 2026 at the University campus.
The festival was inaugurated in the august presence of a distinguished panel of dignitaries. Dr. Subir Sen, Technical Director, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Ms. Megha Jain, Directorof Urban Development, Fire & Emergency Services of Tripura goevrnment, and Mr. Pradeep Krishnan, Director, Directorate of Skill Development of Tripura also invited as special guests respectively. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder, and the Registrar, Dr. A. Ranganath.
Prof. (Dr.) Biplab Halder delivered the inaugural welcome address, highlighting the vision, evolution, and significance of ICARIA as the University’s flagship student-driven festival. Dr. Subir Sen on his address as Chief Guest urged that the students and faculties to drive the country forward towards Vikshit Bharat through research, innovation and development of technology.
The inaugural programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. A. Ranganath, Registrar of the University and started cultural events. ICARIA is a vibrant celebration of technology, innovation, culture, and creativity, truly organized by the students, of the students, and for the students. This year’s edition features over 100 events, including tech-cultural competitions, fashion shows, fine arts exhibitions, and literary contests, with enthusiastic participation from schools, colleges, universities, and technical institutions across Tripura and other states. Adding to the excitement, the festival will host a Celebrity Night featuring renowned Bollywood playback singer Nakash Aziz on 6th February, followed by a high-energy performance by Celebrity DJ Perl on 7th February 2026, after the valedictory ceremony.
