The INDIA bloc has announced a series of programmes across Tripura over the next two months under the slogan “Save Vote, Save Country”, highlighting five key demands and seeking to strengthen its movement to protect democracy and voting rights.

As part of the campaign, the opposition alliance will organize a public rally in Agartala on October 30. The leaders also referred to a proposed gathering of 10 lakh people at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1.

The programme was announced at a press conference held at the Congress Bhavan in Agartala on Monday. Former Union Minister and AICC-appointed district Congress observer Pradeep Jain and other Congress leaders attended the press conference.

Addressing the media, the leaders said the campaign aims to safeguard democratic values and voting rights while raising various issues of public interest. The INDIA bloc plans to intensify its movement around five demands through a series of programmes across the state.

The leaders stressed the importance of ensuring large-scale participation by party workers and the general public in the October 30 rally in Agartala.

The press conference also highlighted demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, along with other issues to be taken up during the campaign. The alliance plans to organize various programmes over the next two months to mobilize public opinion and press for its demands.

The proposed rally and subsequent programmes are expected to shape the opposition alliance’s political activities in Tripura in the coming weeks.
