Demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, Longtharai Brand organised a free health camp at its R.K. Nagar factory premises in Khayerpur, athe outskirts of Agartala on Friday. Guided by the philosophy, “May all be happy, may all be free from illness, may all attain well-being,” the initiative marked another significant milestone in the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts.

The health camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees, workers, and local residents, with more than 200 people availing themselves of free medical consultations and health services. Specialized consultations and advice were provided for heart diseases, eye ailments, dental care, diabetes, and hypertension.

The medical team included renowned cardiologist Dr. Naresh Babu, dental specialist Dr. Saptarshi Debnath, general physicians Dr. Dipankar Pal and Dr. Parimal Chakraborty, along with several healthcare professionals. An awareness session on cancer prevention was conducted by Dr. Debolina Gangopadhyay, Specialist Medical Oncologist from ILS Hospital, Agartala.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Swami Sunischitrananda Maharaj, In-Charge of the Medical Department of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Agartala, as the chief inaugurator. Dr. Gautam Hazarika, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ILS Hospital, attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. Parimal Chakraborty and Tanuj Saha, General Manager of ILS Hospital, were present as Special Guests.

Also present on the dais were Longtharai Brand proprietor Ratan Debnath and Director Krishnadhan Debnath. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.

Delivering the welcome address, Shivraj Debnath, son of the proprietor, emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and encouraged people to take personal responsibility for their well-being. In his address, Swami Sunischitrananda Maharaj highlighted the significance of good health in daily life and elaborated on the close connection between physical well-being and spirituality.

Chief Guest Dr. Gautam Hazarika praised Longtharai Brand for its commendable initiative and lauded the company’s commitment to serving society beyond business interests.
