Major administrative reshuffle: 108 police officers with SPs, TSR commandants transfer

In a major administrative reshuffle, altogether 108 senior police officials including IPS, TPS Grade-I and Grade-II officers transferred and posted different wings of Tripura police within 22 days of taking charges of new Director General of Police (DGP) of Tripura, Anurag Dhankar.

On May 17 last, former Director General of Police (Intelligence), Anurag Dhankar was appointed as DGP of Tripura replacing Amitabh Ranjan and after taking the new charges, the new DGP had visited most of the districts of the state and reviewed law and order situations.

While, as per re-arrangement of administrative structure of police administration, the General Administration (Personnel and Training) department of the state government has issued a major reshuffle order among senior police officers, which is the largest transfer order in recent times.

As per the notification, the incumbent DIG (Northern Range), Rati Ranjan Debnath (IPS) has given the additional charges of DIG (AP and Ops-II) to supervise TSR battalions of 3rd,6th,8th, 12th, 13th and 15th.

Assistant SP of North Tripura district (attached to West Tripura), Desai Rushikesh Jaysing (IPS) has been transferred as Additional SP of Gomati district.

Altogether 35 TCS Grade- I officers including some SPs, Commandant of TSR battalions, some additional SPs ,  assistant commandants of TSR battalions were transferred along with promotions of some Deputy SPs to Additional SP rank officers.

The transfer list also added the transfer of 71 TPS-Grade-II officers, who were transferred to different districts, TSR battalions and other units of Tripura police.
