Medical aid provided to needy as CM listens appeals in ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’

The ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ program continues with the aim of addressing the concerns of the state's afflicted people.

In the 31st phase of the program on Wednesday, individuals from various parts of Tripura met Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha at his official residence to present their issues. Most sought medical assistance, and the Chief Minister immediately directed the concerned officials to provide the necessary help.

Anup Ghosh from East Pratapgarh approached the Chief Minister seeking medical treatment for his two-year-old daughter, who has been suffering from pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) since birth. Anup, a day labourer, has been struggling to cover both his daughter's medical expenses and his family's needs. He requested financial assistance. After reviewing the medical documents, the Chief Minister immediately directed the Medical Superintendent of GB Hospital, Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, to take necessary steps. He also instructed Deputy Commissioner of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department, Achintya Kilikdar, to explore how the department could provide further assistance.

Chandan Majumder from Gandacherra in Dhalai district met Dr Saha to seek medical help for his wife, who has been battling breast cancer for the past year and a half. Chandan, a newspaper hawker, is struggling to manage both his wife's treatment and the family's finances. Upon reviewing the treatment documents, the Chief Minister instructed Dr. S. Debbarma, the Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Regional Cancer Center, to take appropriate action.

Prasenjit Das, an 80% disabled youth from East Jogendra Nagar, approached the Chief Minister seeking medical assistance for complications related to Elephantiasis Lymphedema in his right leg. Financial instability has prevented him from receiving proper treatment. After reviewing his medical records, the Chief Minister immediately instructed Dr. Shankar Chakraborty of GB Hospital to take the necessary action.

In addition to these cases, others like Subrata Das from Kabiraj Tila, Chandrima Nandi Majumder from Chandrapur, Mita Saha from Banamalipur, and Jhumur Saha from SD Chaumuhani, who visited the Chief Minister’s residence, also received assurances of medical assistance.

Present at the "Samipeshu" program were the Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Health Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, Deputy Commissioner of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department Achintya Kilikdar, GB Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Atal Bihari Regional Cancer Center Medical Superintendent Dr. S. Debbarma, and other officials.
