MLA Jadav Lal Nath extend his apology for violation of MCC

The ruling BJP MLA, Jadav Lal Nath , who has received notice from Election Commission of India (ECI) after he allegedly manhandled a booth level office on the second phase of Lok Sabha election on April 26th last has extend his apology before the Returning Officer (RO) of East Tripura parliamentary constituency.

MLA of Bagabassa Assembly constituency Yadav Lal Nath was served a notice by the District Election Officer (DEO) on April 28 for allegedly manhandling a booth level officer (BLO) at a polling booth in North Tripura district.

It may be recalled here that Jadav Lal Nath and his associates had entered the booth under Tripura East Lok Sabha constituency and allegedly manhandled BLO Chinmoy Das during polling on April 26.

Based on the allegation, the District Election Officer (DEO), Debapriya Bardhan, issued a notice to MLA Yadav Lal Nath asking him to explain why he barged into the booth by flouting the ECI guidelines and manhandled the BLO.

On Thursday (May 2nd), MLA Jadav Lal Nath extended his apology before the Commission and has also given assurance that he will never do such activities.

The District Election Officer (DEO) has also warned him not to involve such type of violation of poll conduct in future.
