Multi-agency counter terrorism exercise conducts in Civil Secretariat, Agartala
In a decisive move to bolster preparedness and enhance interoperability among security forces, a comprehensive Multi-Agency Counter-Terrorism Exercise was successfully conducted at the Civil Secretariat office in Agartala on the evening of Friday.
The exercise witnessed seamless coordination between specialized troops of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Tripura Police, Tripura State Rifles (TSR), as well as the Tripura Police Dog Squad and Bomb Squad. The joint teams demonstrated their operational synergy by swiftly cordoning off the Secretariat complex, executing meticulous room clearance drills, and neutralizing a simulated threat.
A key highlight of the exercise was the simulated rescue of hostages from within the Secretariat building, alongside thorough searches for potential explosives. The Dog Squad and Bomb Squad played a pivotal role in ensuring the premises were rendered safe, further showcasing the critical importance of specialized units in such high-stakes scenarios.
The successful conduct of this exercise underscores the unwavering commitment of Tripura’s security agencies to safeguarding critical government infrastructure and ensuring public safety.
