National Workshop on Hindu Law inaugurated at CSU, Ekalavya Campus

Faculty Development Centre of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus at Lembucherra Tripura inaugurated 7-day long National Workshop on Hindu Law on Friday within the auspicious presence of Prof. (Dr.) YogeshPratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of National Law University Tripura .

 In his address, Prof. (Dr.) YogeshPratap Singh opined that the vast trove of knowledge embedded in Dharmashastracasts an enriching influence in framing Hindu Law. Besides, Prof (Dr.) Madhab Kumar Panda, former Head of PG Department of Dharmashastra, Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri, highlighted those areas of Dharmashastra which play crucial role in the existing Hindu Law. Prof.Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of the Campus presided over the session. Coordinator of this National workshop is Dr.SoumyajyotiSaha, Assistant Professor (Dharmashastra).

In another significant event, 5-day long FDP cum National Workshop on 'Strategies for Assimilation of IKS with the Modern Education System’ came to a formal end on 22-03-2024 within the gracious presence of Prof(Dr.) Madhab Kumar Panda, former Head of PG Department of Dharmashastra, Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri as Chief Guest. In the fifth technical cum valedictory session of the same, Dr.Baburam Swami, Associate Professor (English), Dasarath Deb Memorial College, Khowai, addressed the session as keynote speaker on the topic ‘Indian Knowledge System and Literature’. The session was presided over by Prof.PrabhatKumar Mohapatra, Director of the Campus.

This 5-day long FDP cum National Workshop was organized in joint collaboration with Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus and Holy Cross College, Tripura. Participants from various Higher Educational institutions attended all the sessions. Ms. SmitaDebnath and Dr.SubhasDebnath were the Coordinator& Joint Coordinator respectively from the side of Holy Cross College, Agartala whereas Dr.Suman Acharjee and Shri Subrahmanyam Bhat were the Coordinator and Joint Coordinator from the side of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus.
