Newlywed couple died in road mishap on way to Kasba Kali temple
In a tragic road accident, a newlywed couple died after their scooty collided face on with a speeding Maruti Eco car near Gokulnagar 2nd TSR battalion headquarters on Sunday afternoon, when the couple were returning after warship of Goddess Kali at Kasba Kali temple.
Sources said that deceased couples were identified as Dibakar Ghosh and his wife Priyanka Ghosh of Khowai district, temporarily stayed in Agartala for their work purposes, on Sunday visited Kasba Kali temple with their family.
On their return towards Agartala from Kasba Kali temple in Sepahijala district, the couple were returning home through their scooty and when they reached near the headquarters of 2nd battalion TSR, a speeding Maruti Eco car collided with scooty face on. As a result, both couple after heavy crushed falls in the road side drain with severe injuries.
Immediately, local people and TSR jawans rushed to the spot and shifted both husband and wife to a local hospital , where visiting doctor declared them brought dead. Their death has cast a shadow of deep grief and mourning in their native town Khowai.
