The signing ceremony was held at the NFSU Agartala campus and was attended by distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, and students from both institutions. The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura and Dr. H. K. Pratihari, Campus Director of NFSU Agartala followed by an interactive session with students and faculty. The MoU aims to foster interdisciplinary research, promote knowledge exchange, and facilitate joint academic programs in the fields of law and forensic science. Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of NLU Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, highlighted the importance of integrating forensic science with legal studies to strengthen the criminal justice system. "This partnership will enable law students to gain hands-on exposure to forensic methodologies, which are crucial in modern legal practice," he stated. Dr. H. K. Pratihari, Campus Director of NFSU Agartala, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the role of forensic science in ensuring justice delivery. "By joining forces with NLU Tripura, we aim to create a robust academic framework that bridges the gap between forensic science and legal proceedings," he remarked.
Key areas of collaboration under this MoU include: (1). Development of joint certificate, diploma, and degree programs; (2). Exchange of faculty and research scholars for knowledge-sharing initiatives; (3). Organization of workshops, seminars, and conferences on forensic law and criminal justice;(4). Joint research projects focusing on contemporary legal and forensic challenges; and (5). Internship and training programs for students in forensic science and legal institutions.
This partnership marks a new chapter in academic cooperation, ensuring that future legal professionals and forensic experts are well-equipped to tackle the evolving challenges of the justice system.
